Storie di montagna

Skyway Monte Bianco cable car

Mont-Blanc is the highest mountain of the whole Alpine range.

When someone hears about the Roof of the Alps, we immediately think of the history of mountaineering, of the Societies of Alpine Guides both Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and Courmayeur, and this is exactly the world we are going to immerse ourselves in!

Mt. Blanc immedialtely comes to mind.

Taking us to the heart of the massif, from the Italian side, will be the modern revolving cableway SkyWay Monte Bianco, which will take us from Pontal d'Entrèves to Punta Helbronner through three stations, with breathtaking views of the lateral valleys and surrounding peaks.

We will start from 1,300 metres and reach 3,462 metres, for more than 2,000 thousand metres of altitude difference!

On our way, we will encounter the Hangar 2173 museum, which will tell us the history of the cable car and that of the splendid mountain that houses it, the beautiful Alpine garden, which will welcome us with its spectacular vegetation made up of medicinal plants and high altitude pine trees, and we will take a tour of the highest bookshop in Italy, a real treat for all passionate readers and others!

Another unmissable stop is Courmayeur, a little jewel at the foot of the Alpine massif, developed as a centre of luxury and alpine tourism since the 19th century, a true reference point for mountain and winter sports lovers, which will welcome us with its little wooden houses and the splendid nature that surrounds it.

It will be an itinerary to experience the mountain in all its beauty, for its lovers and novices alike, absolutely recommended. In case you didn't trust me, this is also what the New York Times says: Mont Blanc was recently listed as one of the destinations of the year 2022 by the New York Times for its beauty, try it to believe!
